Andrés Cabezas Ulate, the author of this blog, spends a fair bit of time writing stuff for computers (mostly software). This blog is an attempt to write stuff for humans as well (primarily for humans who also write stuff for computers). Though software development will be the focus of many or most articles, non-geeks (or non-coding geeks) might take be interested in the software usability, IT, and digital culture topics I will likely cover. Then again, it remains to be seen what form this young, little blog will grow into.

Hello! My name is Andrés Cabezas. I am a software developer who runs Domador Software. I’ve made various utilities, productivity tools, and software components. Some of them are Bitrot Detector, Two-Click Reminder, the Database Encryptor/Decryptor for SQLite, and the Window Placement and Screen Extensions for Xojo.

I’m also a regular reader of Hacker News, and created an hourly snapshot archive of its main page.

Regarding software and other systems, I’m primarily interested in good user interfaces, overall good design, and the use of software for good purposes. That is much of what I’ll write about in this blog.
